Frosty Authors Who Make Being Snowed in a Good Thing

By Beth Clark • January 28, 2019

It's Frosty Out There

Between Jack Frost, Robert Frost, Mark Frost, and a blizzard of other Frosts, the literary world is as Frosty as a snowman. Below are a few Frosts that you can enjoy during the depths of winter without having to put mittens on. In fact, it kinda works better if you don't so you can turn the pages.

Robert Frost

Robert Frost is one of the most beloved poets of all time and a giant of twentieth-century American literature who was much celebrated in his day. His poetry reached a wide audience, but there are a lot of things about Frost himself that are widely unknown, like his sense of humor…he was apparently pretty funny in private! Here are just a few of Frost's books currently in stock – feel free to do a search for others if you're looking to add something specific to your collection that you don't see here.

Mark Frost

Mark Frost co-created the groundbreaking Twin Peaks television series with his brother, Scott Frost (author of the Alex Delillo Series) and legendary filmmaker David Lynch. Millions of fans waited over 25 years for the book series, which includes The Secret History of Twin Peaks (book #1) and Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier (book #2). Both were well worth the wait, which is probably why they're NYT bestsellers.

Book #1 expands the world of the original TV series, placing the unexplained phenomena that unfolded in it into a multi-layered, wide-ranging history that starts with the journals of Lewis and Clark and ends with the shocking events of the finale. Book #2 goes deeper into the mysteries raised by the Showtime series and bridges it with the original. It explains what happened to key characters in between and offers details, insights, context, and commentary regarding the strange and cosmic happenings of the new series. If you're still confused by what's really going on (everyone?), make both novels required reading!

Frost also wrote The Paladin Prophecy, which is an adventure series with a unique combination of mystery, heart-pounding action, and the supernatural that includes The Paladin Prophecy, Alliance, and Rogue. His other novels and books are The Second Objective, The List of Seven, Before I Wake (as pseudonym Eric Bowman), The Greatest Game Ever Played, Game Six: Cincinnati, Boston, and the 1975 World Series, and The Grand Slam.
