There's a reason this is an award winner

Yu+Me is without doubt the best queer comic being published today. I read most of them, and have no trouble making that assertion. This volume is my least favorite out of all of them, but you need it to understand the greatness that is to come, not to mention, the least of Gedris' work is better than the best of many artists. Fiona is an utterly lovable main character, speaking to the awkward young person in us all, straight or queer. This comic speaks to so many of the things that queer teenagers go through, and I believe that any person who appreciates story will love, as shown by the many straight friends I have gotten hooked on the series. Get yourself hooked, you won't be sorry.

An Unexpected Delight~

Megan Gedris takes on the role of both writer and illustrator in this delightful story of love and acceptance from unexpected places. The story starts out a bit slow, the artwork a bit wavering but that's hardly a problem as the pages become more colorful and the artwork actually grows and shifts to fit the theme without distracting the reader. Throughout the book you start to see little details build up here and there, the characters become highly entertaining and by the end of the chapter you just can't flip the pages fast enough. I don't want to give details away because this book is full of surprising twists and turns, all of which Gedris has you hooked all the way. Definitely worth a read and a re-read.

Creative love story

You never know where Megan is going to take Fiona in this epic love story. You think you have everything worked out and Megan gives you an amazing curve ball that you just want to hug her for! The progression of the art from black and white to various styles, and even showing her growth as an artist all play a role in this story and only add to its depth. I have been reading this online and when I first found it I couldn't put it down. I still read it now as she is finishing the fourth volume online. I know I would love to have these books. If you like different/thought provoking/honest story telling and enjoy seeing new blood in the industry pick this up! Megan is brilliant! A bit of a warning, if you don't enjoy Lesbian relationships, or they bother you in anyway, this story may not be for you, or you may want to find the web comic and see for yourself first. But if you are open to the idea, or even you want to see an honest relationship (not stereotypical) then you should definitely look into this series.

Entertaining Story

I read this comic online. Her story is entertaining, her art changes throughout the volumes, and the plot becomes more complicated and less cliche as the volumes progress. A great break from reality and an adorable lesbian love story.
