This was a fantastic series. Kept you on edge.

Not disappointed!

I picked up this trilogy in my church library and read the entire thing in a week! I found myself deeply involved in the characters of these stories to the point of thinking about them as I went to sleep at night. All three books in the trilogy are filled with gripping adventure, heart wrenching drama and God's grace as Tracie Peterson weaves His goodness into each situation. Grace Hawkins, Karen Pierce and Miranda Colton are heroins that come to life. While I was somewhat disappointed with the second book in the trilogy, the final book tied it all together and brought some very pleasant surprises. I was not disappointed with the actual outcome in all three. Tracie Peterson kept me hooked throughtout the entire series.

Excellent Reads!

I flew through these stories! They were very good; I couldn't put the book down.

Proud to have this on my shelf

Tracy Peterson's books are always very good, and I was excited to get this 3-in-1. It is so nice not to have to go purchase the second... and then the third... They are all right there for you in order. Love it! Give me more!

Excellent Read!

This series, Yukon Quest, was the first books I've read by Traci Peterson. I've read a lot of historical Christian romance books -- Peterson's books surely didn't disappoint me! The characters in this trilogy were multifaceted and experienced a range of emotions as they encountered challenges in their faith, their family relationships, love relationships and physical hardships of the harsh Alaskan north in the late 1800's. Traci Peterson did an excellent job researching the historical setting of the Alaskan gold rush at the end of the 19th Century. Her descriptions were so vivid that I was transported myself as I read her books. This era of our American history has not been written about very often, so I felt I received a good history lesson from these books as well! I also found myself drawn into the challenges the main characters faced in this entire series of books. The plots were not exactly predictable or "neat and tidy"... at the end of each book, I was left with unresolved plots or issues the characters were experiencing. As a warning -- don't sit down with Book 1 unless you have Books 2 & 3 ready to read, because you'll be wishing that you could get to some resolution of the stories of each character! I loved the strong female protagonists in the story (Grace Hawkins, Karen Pierce, & Miranda Colton), and how they were faced with either faith-shattering or faith-building situations. There are good lessons of faith here -- realistic in their struggles, and yet Peterson does bring each character back to faith (or newfound faith) in God at the end. This was probably the best part of the books for me. I was disappointed that this was only a trilogy... until I found out that Peterson wrote another trilogy (Alaskan Quest) that follows 2 of the characters (orphaned siblings Leah and Jacob Barringer). I will most likely be staying awake late at night to devour this next series of books!

The Best

These three books are the best. They really display emotion. You rejoice with the characters when something great happens and cry with them as their loved ones are taken away from them. It starts out with an evil man who is intent on marrying Grace Hawkins. She runs away from his evil treatment to her. She travels to Alaska with her governess, Karen. She meets Peter Colton, the ship captain who drives Karen crazy. The only problem is, Grace is attrated to him. But will all her hope for the future come to an end when the man who beat her returns to force her hand in marriage? You should really buy these books as one. They just flow so nicely from one to the other. You have to read the next one as soon as finish the previous ones cause you wonder what will happen next. Everything that could happen happens in these books.
