As a Clinical Social Worker in private practice Dr. Linda Rose's book "Your Mind The Owners Manual" has given me a much needed resource.Her simple techniques have helped my clients to unlock negative programming and actualize their full potential. She has a innate ability to explain the process of hypnotherapy and dispell old myths and fears about it's uses. This book is a tribute to Dr. Rose's dedication and belief that all human beings have the potential to control and impact their own destiny. It impowers the individual to look inward and discover his or her own truths. As a therapist I stronly recommend all those in the helping professions to share this book with their clients. Encouraging clients to be an active participant in their own healing is good therapeutic advise. Thank you Linda for this much needed resource.

Your Mind: the Owners Manual, by Linda Joy Rose, Ph.D, is a wonderful manual, which walks us through a rich field of spiritual insights, set up in an easy to use form. Dr. Rose has woven yogic wisdom into a practical form, for the use of anyone who has a strong desire for change in his or her life. She illustrates how important it is to first, give ourselves permission to open, to grow, to love fully. Only then, can we begin to work through the negative aspects in ourselves and in our lives. Real change, the author claims, can be seen in as little, as 21 days. Linda emphasizes how powerful belief systems, often negatively charged, develop early in life and are so deeply embedded, that we are not able to discriminate what is and what is not true about ourselves. Linda suggests that a successful way of searching out and releasing these powerful "first thoughts," is with self-hypnosis. We are able, she says, to strongly recall old impressions and are more receptive to either negative or positive suggestion, in the deepening states of trance. During these natural states of hypnosis, intentional and unintentional, we can replay old negative tapes, or, we can chose to use them to facilitate relaxation, intuitive insight and healing. The mind is never satisfied, happy one minute, miserable the next. But, as Linda points out, thoughts and feelings have their own magnetic energy that attracts similar energy. Remembering, that like attracts like, the manual gives ways to stop a negative thought or emotion in its tracks, or replace it with a positive thought or feeling. It demonstrates how to draw in what you want in your life, instead of continuing to pull in what you don't. The mind naturally follows our desires and our beliefs. We know that thought has infinite power. We experience emotions as reactions to thoughts and feeling. When our mind is restless and turbulent, or we are thinking negatively, we are harming both others and ourself. These emotions often overpower us. Anger can cause our mind and our body great toxicity. Forgiveness was the technique prescribed for healing this anger, forgiving others and ourself. The methods in the book utilize a means of communicating forgiveness, heart to heart, through thought, word and prayer. Your Mind: The Owners Manual is a self-help manual to help you reprogram your life by reprogramming your mind.

Something for everyone

I particularly like this book because it covers many different areas of self hypnosis with self empowering excersises that work. This book gives tools to help you manifest your dreams by helping you rid yourself of self defeating addictions and behaviors in a grounded, practical style. I loved the 21 Day Secret! I use it to anchor good, healthy patterns of living into my life.
