Very slow start to the book. Took me awhile to get into. Halfway through it picks up and gets good. Definitely need it to understand the characters. But the two sequels are phenomenal

Caroline Kepnes created such a thrilling and immersive tale with this book. I absolutely loved the way she brought the characters to life, giving each of them complex and interesting personalities. This was one of those books I carried with me to the kitchen to get a drink because I just didn’t want to stop reading it. I will definitely be buying “Hidden Bodies” in the near future.

You was such a creepy and gripping novel! I was anxiety ridden and biting my nails almost every other page. I only watches a few episodes from the show but I know the book is 100x better! The main character Joe Goldberg sees Beck enter the bookshop one day and from then on his obsession with her only intensifies as he finds any probable means to rid them of anything that keeps them apart. At first I was afraid that I was wasting time and money on a book that I've already seen the show to, but after reading it, I can say that the two are completely different experiences. Yes, most of the huge plot devices are the same, but there are enough differences that I almost feel like I'm reading a different work of fiction, with the same creepiness that made me love the characters in the show. I was worried that this book would be a replica of the show on Netflix/Lifetime. HOWEVER, this book is like a sister to the tv show. Both are very similar and both beautifully done. This book is just as suspenseful and wonderfully written. Definitely a bit intense at points, but a great read nonetheless. I highly recommend to anyone interested in a thriller (18+ haha) filled with 455 pages of pure excitement.
