What a wonderful book for my 9 year old daughter who is so often over shadowed by her big brother. The poster with little fun things to do was a big hit and by putting a sticker up on the poster after completing each "task" there was EVIDENCE of all the good she can do!

This is a great book and helps promote goals and positive thinking. It's hard sometimes as a busy parent to remember to teach your daughter everything. This book assists with that process. All the American Girl books of this nature have truly helped my daughter.

I used this book with an 11 year old girl. She needed assistance with some of the exercises. However, it gave her new tools for thinking about how to get things done and she now applies some of the guidelines she learned from the book. It was empowering.

This kit comes with a small book,a journal,stickers,mini posters,and a really big poster. The book has gotten me really excited and inspired about my goals,it really made me think about my goals and helped me to start reaching for them. In my opinion the journal isn't really a journal. It's more like a little quiz book or something. It asks you a bunch of questions and has tips on reaching your goals. The litttle mini posters,as I call them,or 'smart cards' are kinda cute. They have quotes from the book on them,like'If I can dream it,I can do it',and'Use words with Power' ,and'Take it one step at a time'. And as for the poster and stickers,the poster is WAY to big.My mom won't even let me hang it up. The poster had different colored circles on it and they say stuff like 'I helped an elderly person today' and if you've done that you put one of the stickers on the circle. whatever. Over all its a great book,and if your 9-13 and your trying to reach a goal,big or small,I'd buy this kit today!
