I would first like to add that this is my first black book I have ever read due to my age (being 13)but out of every single book i have ever read ,this is by far the best.this talks about situations people actually go through instead of having once upon a times and i am happy they didn't skip details Thank daamiah s poole you are one of the best authors alive so far continue to write those true, asnd inspiring books

Go get this!!!...

A college girl who thinks that she will never find Mr. Right has been to hell and back. She goes out with a lot of guys but none of then seems to be the right one. A couple of guys have played her and did her wrong. In the end she has a boyfriend, Will. She thinks that he loves her and she knows that she loves him. But this boyfriend of hers ends up having a wife. So she decides to have it her way and goes out with two guys at the same time, Shamir and Will. She gets caught. The one guy that might have been Mr. Right had left her because of what she has done. While Will ends up leaving her for his wife and she ends up alone."I took my shirt off so he could oil me down; mmm I thought I could get used to this. Then I noticed that Shamir had stopped and suddenly I remembered the tattoo. I was busted." Kayla that same day got a tattoo of Will's name on her arm. It was her birthday and she had just turned 21. She claimed that she was drunk. Will had tricked her into getting this tattoo and he was not going to stay with her.To my peersYes, I recommend this to my peers. Especially to a girl because as they grow up and go into college they can see what it really is like out there. They can also see how guys can be at times. To adults Yes, I recommend this to adults because it is very interesting and exciting book and it will sow adults what teens or young adults go through in life.To other schools No I would not recommend this book to other schools because I don't think that this book is in any way a school related book. I would say for the students that if they want to read this book to read it on the side.

FULL OF EXCITEMENT!!!

This book was fantastic. First of all it was fast paced and held my interest throughout the entire book. I DID NOT want to put it down. When I would put it down, I would try to figure out what was going to happen next. It was descriptive enough to make me feel like I was Kayla and I was dealing with Wil in real life. I actually had fun reading this. I laughed and cried. There were times when I wanted to choke Yazmine and other times I wanted to hug her and tell her how much I understood. Kayla is much younger than I am but I just hope that the females who read this book realize how important it is to get your education and not put all your focus on your love life. Yo Yo Love explained how many mistakes Kayla made trying to get and keep that "dream man." Sometimes those dreams can really mess you up. I think that if the younger generation (and some of the older) would pay attention to what Ms. Poole is saying, they'll one day thank her for that lesson.

I read this in 3 hours

Daaimah S. Poole, 23 University student has written her first novel, it is da bomb yall...Yup that's right I loved this book. I'm looking for the love CD and the video..associated with this book. The story starts with Kayla finding out her college roommate is getting married and leaving school. Kayla moves out of the dorms and gets her own apartment. She struggles with school, working as a waitress and trying to find L-O-V-E.Kayla tired and needing sleep decides to quit her job waitressing. The story begins to move from this point on, page after page of fun, easy reading and interesting characters. Kayla is pressed to find love, she wants love and thinks she needs it.The language used in this book is hip. The points are clearly spelled out in the book. I like the way Kaylas tells her story, you are right there with her, even when she's thinking or just kidding.I fell in love with Kayla she knew was head strong and truly believed she knew what she wanted until she had it all and didn't know what to do with it.While reading this book I was saddened that it had to end, it certaionly reads like "I need more" I will be on the look out for Ms Daaimah Poole, she will certainly give some a run for their money. Watch out yall she has a book coming out possibly called "You Don't Understand"Place this on your To read or purchase list you won't be disappointed.

Couldn't Put It Down!

I read the entire book in one night! Being 25 I could really identify with what Kayla was going through. I liked the fact that the people in the book were so realistic. I found myself so caught up in the book that I was rooting for Kayla like she was my best friend. It was good reading about someone around my own age who wasn't strung out on dope, running dope, or selling booty. Kayla's just a regular young woman out here looking for love. And the situations she gets herself into while she's looking are just too funny. And the drama she goes through is just too real. And listen, what she finally does to Wil at the end, let me tell you, I would do it too. I'm telling, you I'm really feeling this book! I hope the author's next book is about the same subject, because she really knows how to tell it.
