Top-notch resource for two reasons

First, this baby goes far beyond something like The Artist's Way in delivering on just what its title promises -- self-discovery. Second, and looping back to that first reason for its excellence, this is a great book for honing one's creative writing skills. The great variety of styles called for in the different exercises are what sharpen those skills while simultaneously, the different styles are designed to help explore different aspects of one's self in different ways. For yourself or for a writing friend, this book is well worth it.
