Published shortly after the World Series, Worst to First is simply a collection of articles about the 1993 Phillies taken from the pages of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The articles appear in chronological order, from Spring Training to the aftermath of the heartbreaking loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in the Fall Classic. Ranging from game recaps to human interest stories, this is quite an easy collection to breeze through. With the passage of time, it is fun to take a look back at the events as they were happening. While not necessarily spectacular, Worst to First is nevertheless an entertaining scrapbook from a very entertaining season.
