Wow, Washington was deadly serious about manners, but now all I can say is that I'm very thankful to have been born when I was. That said, this book is valuable for several reasons. First, you can tell that perhaps our most famous founding father was a class act all the way, and in fact maybe one reason why he got so famous is because of his manners. Second, a good number of these rules still apply today. Third, the one's that don't are rather hilarious.

Although many of President Washington's view are antiquated, most of them should be read by all parents and school teachers and taught by example to out children.
Very cool!

Well done rendition! Both basic & quirky ... GW is as thoughtful and considered as old Ben. A gem from time and place. I keep it in the office just to create the aire of respect for civility and decent (not perfect) behavior.
