Woodpeckers

My son Finn developed an interest recently in the woodpeckers that appear in our backyard. "Dad, let's go to the library and find out about them," he said. To the library we went, checking out several books on woodpeckers, some child oriented, some adult. This book by Cherie Winner was the best of the lot, both for how it presented its information, and for its readability and wonderful photographs and illustrations. Finn, who is now 4, is asking for this book this Christmas.
