Presenting a quest for the best Chinese food, this book is spiced with romance, humour and recipes. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I'm not sure I understand what the other reviewers were looking for in this book. If they had wanted restaurant guide, there are dozens out there. As a novel/biography (I don't think it's entirely made clear), Krich gives us a fleeting glimpse at Chinese food that NO author could ever convey in any possible level of completeness. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because Tony Bourdain is out there, and I wouldn't want to piss him off.
