Women movers & shakers

I have just returned from the memorial service in Tempe, Arizona, for this remarkable woman -- who happened to be my mother's "Baby Sister." Aunt Marian found that life began in earnest in her 70s, when she married for the first time, started publishing books based on her lifetime experience as a teacher, and gave to the world the example of women's leadership not only as documented in this book appropriately titled, but also by running for the Arizona State Legislature on a platform of championing the needs and issues of children and women. The subject matter, and the author as a person must be seen together, and I trust will inspire more generations of both females and males, younger and older, to get out there and make a difference.
