Woman Redeemed

Wow. Truly refreshing to read something from the heart whether uplifting or disturbing. How extraordinary she was to ultimately transform her destructive emotions and put her life on paper to share with others. Few of us will ever have or witness this immeasurable amount of courage and strength to take on a journey of this magnitude. Should be mandatory reading for religious authorities whom suppress questioning, truth, and give useless and misguided suggestions for dealing with what they label "bad". This book will most likely offend some but Diana can be at peace knowing she told her story and it will ultimately help many. For the reviewers that have become callused to fear, abuse and religious bondage, please author a guide and let us know how you do it.

Although this book is about Mz. Kline's journey, the leasons can be applied to the life of anyone who has been in a similar situation. Well written and easy to read, it is a story of victory and triumph over particularly difficult circumstances. Here is the need to turn and walk away from the very foundations of ones identity. Being raised in a community and culture which is centered in close family ties and the TURTH and RIGHTNESS of a certain faith (Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Morman, Hindu) has a huge influence on who a person is and how they view themselves. To reject the foundations of your life and to start over when reaching adulthood, takes great courage and strength. In "Woman Redeemed" we can travel the path taken by someone who has done just that, and learn what tools she used and how she put a shattered life back together again. Mz. Kline tells her story without whinning but with dignity. She gives hope to anyone who finds themselves in like circumstance.

A sad yet triumphant telling of a life-long struggle to come to terms with abuse while under the suffocating rites and mindsets of those practicing the Mormon religion. Diana spares no detail in her journey through therapy, eating disorders, self-mutilation. She finally finds personal and religious freedom and begins the long, slow process of recover and maintenance. A good book for professionals, parents and those going through the same things.
