Very Enjoyable Story With Wolverine More Human Than Mutant

I found this story to be very interesting and well written, although it seemed to me that the premise was at times a bit confusing. This story takes place shortly after Wolverine has his adamantium skeleton and claws ripped out of him by Magneto aboard his orbiting space station. The story starts out in the deserts of Nevada and continues on to Tibet and then back again to Nevada, and Las Vegas in particular. Along the way, Logan runs into talking tigers, a mutant fat kid, enemies from his past, and of course, a long lost love interest. I don't want to give away too much of the story, but it retained a lot of interest for me due to the fact that Logan no longer has his metal skeleton or claws, and his healing factor is barely working. Out of all of the Wolverine novels that I have read (and I have listed them below), this one is easily the weakest one of them all. Even so, this is an enjoyable story and one you definitely want to read in order to keep up with the ole' canucklehead. A quick Read

This book did not take long to read, and I didnt think this book was as well written as the other books that focus on Wolverine. After having the adamantium ripped from his body, his healing factor and his senses are reduced to a fraction of what they once were. Wolverine decides to take a break from being an X-Man, by going to live in the wilderness for a while. While living out in the wild, Wolverine thinks back on the day that Magneto ripped the Adamantium Skeleton from his body, he also comes to think about a partner that he had once who had her powers taken from her. Wolverine quickly becomes involved in a plot to wipe all of the mutants out. An old enemy from Wolverine's past plans to create a virus that will kill all of the mutants, as well as have some adverse effects on humans as well. While trying to stop the release of the virus, Wolverine keeps thinking about the girl on his team who had her powers ripped from her (this girl I am talking about was his partner during his Canadian Super-Hero days) and comparing himself to her, finally understanding how she must have felt. During his travels Wolverine gets involved with an unlikely ally who not only is a mutant but saves his live a few times as well. Enough about the story, I guess I should tell you about the parts of the book that I found to be enjoyable. I thought that it was good to finally read a book about Wolverine and him not having to relly on his healing factor to save the day. It was also nice to read about Wolverines past. I think that by Wolverine not having but only a few memories of his past, it opens the door for countless stories. I also liked the fact that Wolverine had to have some help, and that he didnt save the world, both humans and mutants, by himself. Im sure that I could think of some more details about the book that were enjoyable, but I think that this review is long enough.
