Woke Church: An Urgent Call for Christians in America to Confront Racism and Injustice

Eric Mason spends so much time elevating rappers’ truth above the gospel of Jesus Christ, and blaming “whites” for every injustice, I was saddened and disappointed. If this is being woke, leave me out! I believe this writing goes against the gospel of reconciliation, and does nothing but direct blame to all Christians who were born with less melanin. Such a shame. I believe he means well and has a head knowledge of scripture, but cannot get past deep seated anger. After reading this, if I met the author in person, ( which is a possibility, that’s why I got this book, he is speaking at our church next week), I would feel he would see only my whiteness and would judge me as the enemy.
