Wonderful

The first three volumes of Wish were cute, sweet, with pretty art, but did not really touch my heart. Volume four finishes the series with a bang, a surprise twist, and moving story developments. I was deeply moved, almost to tears. Volume 4 is a much more mature, deeper volume than volumes one through three. Time is up for Kohaku to stay on Earth. She must return to Heaven to fulfill her special job of awakening the baby angels. Shuichiro's house feels empty now. His grandfather chides Shuichiro for "letting that girl go." Satan's crown prince is onto something - something that paints a much bigger, and much more disturbing, picture of who Shuichiro really is. Meanwhile, the other angel masters come to Earth themselves to search for Madame Hsui, including one who is in love with her. The art is exquisite, as usual. At the end, there is a great bonus "story" of when the Wish characters come to "visit" the CLAMP artists at their studio.

TISSUE SHORTAGE!!!!

yeah, I know, there are some really sad mangas out there, but I'd never cried in a manga before. THIS WAS SO BEAUTIFUL BUT IT WAS SO SAD!!!! Wish was one of those stories where you couldn't help but cry. So was Chobits, Love HIna, InuYasha, Kodocha, and Full Metal Alchemist, but I mean, this was really good and really wonderful.

Kid's reveiw is so right

I just finished reading the 4th novel and at the end i burst into tears. When Hokua has to sleep for 100 years to find true love i found it beautiful. Only it is a bit sad because the doctor's reincarnation doesn't know who she is. Finally he learns to accept her all over again. As they say true love will always last. OH YEAH: THIS JUST IN, AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE 4TH WISH NOVEL THERE IS A WORLD SHORTAGE OF TISSUES. MORE WILL BE ARRIVING SOON.

A Sad and somewhat lacking end

The ending is very sad....i cried for ten minutes. I won't give away the ending because it is so touching you must read it for yourself. I have one thing to say tho....i wish the ending wasnt wrapped up so quickly....while all is concluded and everything is finally explained i would have loved it of there were a few more volumes to the series.

Sob! What a sad and semi-romantic ending! Tissues please!

Here's the saddest volume. Kohaku, desperate to see her lover, 28 year old doctor Suichuro (or something like that)is forbidden by the lord of Heaven, G@d. Kohaku has to give up her powers to see him, so now, in her permanent energy-saving mode, she heads off to Suichuro's house, where a few seconds later, he DIES! Just like that, Kokuyo realizes who has been covering up the fact he was to die young-G@d. Kohaku is given a choice- to sleep for 100 years until Suichuro is reborn, and desperate, she agrees. So after 100 years asleep, she is reborn to find Suichuro at his old house, waiting for her. This is the mushy dialouge:Kohaku: "I never did grant you a wish. Do you have one?"Suichuro: "Didn't you wait 100 years for me to be reborn?"Kohaku: "Yeah..."Suichuro: "Then you already granted me a wish."SOB! WHAT A SAD AND ROMANTIC ENDING! IF YOU ORDER THIS COMIC BOOK THEN YOU'LL NEED TO ORDER TISSUES TOO BECAUSE YOU'LL BE CRYING EVERYTIME YOU READ IT! SOB! SOB!
