Wise Love

What a knockout surprise from this romance author. I was expecting another terrific, heartfelt, beyond compare loving romance. I prefer romances to thrillers but I picked this up and didn't put it down until the last page. This book is not for the squeamish. It deals with the horrors of hideously violent child abuse. I am glad it was a quick read as I couldn't take much more pain. As a nice leveler the reader is treated to wonderful people working to stop the criminal. The two main characters are an absolute joy. From the first chapter the reader is drawn into the lives of Miranda, a 35 year old child psychologist dedicated to her craft, and Mason a career police detective anxious to put a stop to the crimes. Mason and Miranda are welcome contrast to the horrors of the crimes, they lighten what would be a very dark story. This is the best edited novel from this author to date. I already look forward to reading this author's next novel and hope it is a romance as no one writes such positive and loving characters.
