Jakes" is a beautiful library edition, a valuable addition to the library of every Christian seeking empowerment and wisdom for facing today's challenges.

Jakes uses words of wisdom from God's word to build on each day. This 40 day devotional is great for those who want to grow in God's truth and wisdom. Jakes uses personal testimony and examples to help believers to reflect on Biblical truth. He also uses quotes and testimonies from other believers under each topic that he shares. The author also uses questions and has provided a place for daily journaling. The text inspired and helped me to stay focused on the Lord Jesus.

WOW, a great devotional journal that will give you wisdom for the day. You will learn how to tackle every day problems and how to have an answer to make wise decisions. Recommend to those that need wisdom and don't have a lot time to read.

Bishop Jakes is an excellent writer and the author of a number of just great and timely books written for the spiritual growth of the Body of Christ. It so happens that the Lord has led me since the 1970's to read and study each day the Book of Proverbs. This book is the life's heart of this Man of God. It is just great! There are 40 topics of wisdom and I just love the fact that the book includes 'Points to Ponder' and pages for each reader to write their 'My Wisdom Keys'. It is a praise-wisdom book to all of us to read and re-read from this well-known Bishop,Teacher and Shepherd.
