It is of great interest today, since it provides much needed perspective on the origins and growth of the wireless industry, and the nature of projections offered today about the next 5-10 years. The author is intellegent and well versed in the wireless industry, and presents a compelling vision of "personal communications". The current (2001) crisis in the telecom industry provides an interesting contrast to his forward looking vision.
