Winnie's Midnight Dragon

Bought this from the UK for our grandson in the US - great service - prompt delivery - highly recommended

Winnie the Witch

A friend of mine in England, who is a school teacher, recommended the Winnie the Witch books for my grand-children. They love them - and I love reading them: simple stories that are pretty timeless. Everytime we read them together we find new things in the pictures that augment the story. We wave our make-believe magic wands together and shout ABRACADABRA in unison. (It's lots of funny listening to the 3 year old trying to get that ABRACADABRA out!)

Abracadabra!

This book is adorable! Winnie and her cat Wilbur have an adventure just after midnight when a baby dragon arrives at their house. My 3-year old has been running around for days saying "Abracadabra!" The illustrations are excellent, whimsical, and very rich, and it's as much fun for grown ups to read as for the little ones.

Cute & Fun

Reviewed by Christina Wantz Fixemer on 07/13/2008 Winnie the Witch and her cat, Wilbur, like to go to bed right at midnight. But one night, Wilbur hears a noise and goes to investigate. Waiting just outside the cat flap in the door is a baby dragon! Hijinks ensue when the dragon playfully chases Wilbur around the house and straight to Winnie. Watch out! This is a delightful book for children who enjoy magical stories. The dragon and, later, its mother aren't scary, and Winnie and Wilbur are delightful. The illustrations are cute, if a tad dark at times. My six-year-old with autism loved it. I loved it. And I can think of a lot of children I know who would love it, as well. This book is a great pick not just for Halloween, but for any time you feel like a magical tail! 4.5 Books
