The purpose of this project has been to find baskets made in Pennsylvania during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries by immigrants and their descendants, to determine in what ways the baskets are similar or different from those of other parts of the country, to identify regional styles within the state and those individuals living or deceased who worked with the evolving forms, construction details, and materials peculiar to those styles.
