Very entertaining reading. Well written. Ms. Martin shares the trials and tribulations as well as the lighter side of Missionary life. I wondered all through the transcript if I would or could endure the hardships that field Missionaries live with. I think if you enjoy bats, snakes and insects, you would enjoy that life. One would have to be totally devoted to God's word to do it for so long. My wife and I are golf partners with Carol and Dwight Martin. Truly beautiful people. They will be moving from our area soon and we will certainly miss them. Delightful people.

Her compassion and effort to live among learn and translate the Bible into their language created a tremendous challenge over a period of 17 years. Carol's method of writing is refreshing, straightforward and entertaining. It will inspire future Christian missionaries to maintain a positive sense of humor and encourage them to depend on their strong faith and never-ending prayer throughout their journey. Wow! What an amazing read! It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me dream, and wish. I would recommend it to anyone, from the young to the old, from those who have found their way, to those who are still looking.

The true story of Carol Martin's life should be made into a movie! Each chapter was exciting - from a promiscuous wealthy lifestyle to living with bats urinating on her at night, being held at gunpoint, having a baby without help, death and suicide - it's an incredible story.
