There are truckloads of books written on the subject of being single, the single life, making the most of your life as an unmarried person, etc. However, most that I've read either tell you it's a fine choice to be single, then proceed to tell you how to cope with singleness as if it's a disabilty, or tell you it's fine to be single and then proceed to drop hints that you don't want to stay that way permanently. Ms. Swindoll is refreshingly unapologetic about choosing to not marry as a conscious, deliberate decision. She makes the case for singleness unlike any other author I've read. So, if you don't want to be single, then proceed with the pursuit of a partner. But if you view singleness as a viable option to be considered in the balance, then you must pick up this book. The author makes an excellent case for remaining unmarried as a CHOICE instead of a default position.
Luci Swindoll suprised me!

This is a fabulous book. I picked this book for a book report, because I thought I would be able to disagree with what the author would say. I was so wrong! I expected the book to be all about singleness and being called to singlness, but it is much more focused on living an abundant life in God! I highly recommend this book to anyone regardless of your marital status!
