It’s a funny , simple read that my 5 year old enjoys

This was my favorite picture book as a child and now, as an adult, it still is. I think it is incredibly difficult to write a picture book, and I view it as a true craft. What makes a good picture book in my opinion? Unique artwork, an intriguing tale, and storytelling style. This book has it all. The artwork is simple, bold, and magical, the story engages you right away, and the repetitive style of the narrative is perfect for storytime. And, of course, the last page is priceless. As far as I'm concerned, this book is essential for any children's library.

This is a great story for all..it is about real life. This story was read to me and my siblings as children and I loved it so much, I sought it for my own children (both less than age 2) in hopes that they too would grow with the lessons of the story. It teaches the consequences of gossiping. African stories always have a moral to teach, thats why I love them so. Another must have for an international library.

This book charmed our family for quite a long time. It is a retelling of an African tale which traces the beginings of the mosquito's buzz. The disasterous effects involve many different animals with many different reactions. This tale is sure to amuse and delight any and all readers.

This question will tell you if the reader understood the sequence of the story and the main idea.The illustrations are fabulous. The story is great-especially when all the animals go before the council to explain what the problem is. They actually talk it out which is a concept we need to reinforce with our children.
