This is the first of a three book series. Written in a professional yet homespun manner, Why Bad Things Happen to Good People is a scriptural and inspired analysis of the Old Testament promised la This description may be from another edition of this product.
First off, the first 90 pages do not address the title of the book. Its a big theological rant that is connected, but not enough to warrant 90 pages worth. Only the last 2 chapters address the issue and when the author finally gets to the point, he goes off the deep end. According to him, it is considered participation with spiritual enemies and being ensnared to use such things as braille, canes, doctors, therapists, medication, wheelchairs, and prosthetics etc; Physical and mental diseases such as Alzheimers and multiple sclerosis don't exist..such things are examples of demon possession in people. The author states that the only way to fix people is to heal them like Jesus healed. He says there shouldn't be sign language sermons for the deaf, we should perform miracles and heal them instead. He says there shouldn't be funerals, we should be raising people from the dead. We are to perform miracles like curing incurable diseases such as aids. We are to miraculously cure the poor and they will no longer need government help. We are to cure people of the demon possession that is causing their mental disabilities. As if all that wasn't crazy enough, the book ends there. He never tells us how to perform miracles and raise the dead like Jesus did; he just says to go and do it. What a horrible book. I'm very disappointed.
