Lila Moreno and her two best friends, Meryl Morgenstern are social mutants. Not because of who they are, but who their guy-repellent daddies are. Lila's dad is the chief of police; Meryl's dad is the football coach, the driver's ed instructor, and the dean of discipline at the high school; and Caressa's dad is a famous musician. Boys are too terrified and intimidated by the girls' dads to come anywhere near them.So Lila, Meryl, and Caressa decide to take matters into their own hands. On the night of homecoming, instead of going dateless, they hold a Dumb Supper -- a Celtic ritual that shows single young women who their soul mates are. The dinner doesn't go exactly as planned, but never could they guess how much this loser's alternative to homecoming would change their lives.
I really loved this book. The dialogue was very well written. I hope they turn this book into a movie! I would so want to be in it! I would want to play Lila, the main character, because we are like each other. Except I do not have 4 older brothers! We both have a humorous attitude. This book is funny and like a love story. I am telling all of my friends to read it. I read it in 1 day. I could not put the book down once I started reading it. I recommend this book to teenage girls. I know you will love it!
BAD REVIEW IS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR!

I am sorry, but this last review is totally uncalled for. There is absolutely nothing in this story that is insulting. Considering the fact that Ms. Sandoval is herself a former police officer who left the Force to pursue her writing career, I can assure you that she has nothing but the highest regard for officers of the law. I found this book absolutely WONDERFUL (I am 43)....My 16 year old Son and my 11 year old daughter both read this book and they loved it. I did not find it to be in any way trite, boring or offensive. NOT AT ALL. For the life of me I cannot fathom what the heck the last reviewer was so insulted about. Has this world come to a point where "Political Correctness" has gone too far? Nobody can say anything any more least they offend someone. This last reviewer comes across to me as a person with a huge chip on their shoulder. All I can say is "Lighten Up and Enjoy Life and Good Books." My family found "Who's Your Daddy?" to be LAUGH OUT LOUD funny and we HIGHLY recommend it to EVERYONE of all ages.
MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER!!!!!!!

I usually have a hard time answering the question, "What Is Your Favorite Book?". But now, this book (along with another book called "Getting Near To Baby" by Audrey Couloumbis) is my answer! I admit, this book was sort of unreal at the end, but you can't help loving it. It's about 3 girls, Lila, Meryl, and Caressa who are social pariahs thanks to their freaky fathers. They do a dumb supper ritual that is supposed to make the first boy you see after the dumb supper date you. The dumb supper does not go as planned, but yet....it does. You will see what I mean if you read this book! It's so good, I can't bear to give away any good parts!
Bad review way off base. This book is Laugh Out Loud Funny!

This is the best Young Adult book I have read in a long long time. Lynda really makes you feel for the characters all the while making you laugh out loud at their crazy antics and sarcastic comments. I absolutely loved it!! Watch out Meg Cabot, Lynda is on your heels.
