An A-Z illustrated book that contains detailed information about more than 500 important people in the Bible and a comprehensive list of everyone mentioned, nearly 4000 people in all. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Lists many Biblical characters including some from the apocrypha. Has Roman Catholic tinge to the biographies and unnecessary paintings from the masters that ignore the LORD's injunction against nakedness.

This book was supposed to be in the "like new" condition. I tape it back together. A book that was supposed to be in the "like new" condition. Was a disappointment.

This is a great book to pick up some character references for people in the Bible. I remember reading it years ago, and I gave my copy to someone else, so I was glad I could find it again. Highly recommend it if you can find a copy.

I'm a divinity student at an Ivy League school. "Who's Who in the Bible" is AWESOME. The bios and content are presented in a flowing, story format. There are lots of pictures and visuals to picture the people and see how they have been portrayed in the art. There's also a comprehensive listing of all of the people in the Bible, which is really helpful. This book is great for div students, but an excellent resource for churches, families, and others!

Who's Who in the Bible is a great reference resource with lots of color illustrations and photos. The commentary shows how to pronounce the people's names and tells what their names meant. Related names are in bold for cross-referencing. Although written in 1994 it quotes the older Revised Standard Version (1952) instead of the New Revised Standard Version(1990). If you enjoy this book you may also like THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE BOOK OF PROVERBS by Cody Jones. Numerous biblical characters are pointed out who illustrate King Solomon's witty observations on human nature.
