Information includes socialization, communication, migration, flight formation, habitat, & feeding habits as well as the care & development of young chicks. Physical traits are also detailed including skeleton & feather illustrations. I found a section on identifying & differentiating cranes, pelicans, geese & other large birds to be very helpful. Another great addition is classification chart listing each crane species, its Latin name & where they live.The short story of Sadako, folklore, & instructions on folding a paper crane are a real treat & make this book more interesting.
