Who Is Andy Warhol?

I was really glad to read through this collection of essays, and it's chock full of interesting observations. Victor Bockris correctly assesses that Warhol was a master when he stepped outside of painting and created three amazing mid-60s works in different fields: his production of The Velvet Underground and Nico lp, the Chelsea Girls film, and the novel A. (Naturally they're not like any other lps, movies or novels of the same time by anyone else!) Amy Taubin writes a beautiful piece on the 4 stars movie. The Warhol industry is bigger than ever, and this claims a right to some of it. Very worth getting.
