Wherever I Am, I'm Fine

Very well written, even though this collection of letters to a group of friends was not originally intended as a book. Very helpful to anyone affected by ALS, either as a patient or as a friend or relative. The author's courageous spiritual struggle for meaning in her illness is inspiring but she doesn't gloss over the terrible aspects of the disease's progression

Catherine Royce, in her amazing book, gives to the world a clear look at what is ultimately possible for a human being to attain in this life. It is an incredible "read," with words so potent that they will change your life forevermore; but the real power of this memoir is our experience, our own direct experience, that we will feel deep within us. Catherine takes us on a journey that goes beyond anything we could imagine in our wildest dreams. It is not enough to "know" something with our mind. This is a must read for those who long for the greatness of the heart.
