Wow - nice surprise!

Well, I have to say...I never read this author before and since I finished the book in 4 days, that pretty much says it all!! It was erotic and captivating and my friends at work couldn't wait until the next day when I would share the story line. There is a waiting list in my office for this book!!

Where Have all the Cowboys Gone

After years of dealing with her controlling father, Lauren Redstone has reason to celebrate. Having sealed the deal on her first big break for her retro prop company, Lauren's celebration in Las Vegas with a bit too much champagne sends her tumbling into the arms of one utterly delicious cowboy. For Lauren, a night of passion with a real cowboy has always been her most secret fantasy. But fate has more in store for the beautiful businesswoman than she planned on. An impulsive decision leads to a hasty marriage between the two lovers, and sends Lauren rabbitting the next morning. Marriage may not have been in the plans for Grayson Turner, but for the gorgeous businessman-turned-rancher, it's love at first sight. Now he just has to convince his commitment-shy wife to feel the same, and he'll use every sensual weapon in his arsenal to do so. Will this sexy cowboy convince his wife to take a gamble on love? If I had to pick only one word to describe Where Have All the Cowboys Gone? it would be "fresh." Simply fresh. From the very beginning of the book, Kate Pearce took me on a fast-moving journey of two strangers, neither of whom had been looking for love, who are swept up in a whirlwind marriage. I found Ms. Pearce's book to be both sexy and utterly charming. Lauren and Grayson are both endearing characters and I was highly entertained watching the two try and out-maneuver one another. I felt connected to them both, and understood where both sides were coming from as they tried to figure out if their marriage could last. Even as the hero and heroine steam up the page, I never lost sight of the growing emotional bond between the two. I found myself rapidly turning the page in the wee hours of the morning, desperate to see if Lauren and Grayson would be able to make their marriage last. Like a cool breeze in the heat of summer, Ms. Pearce has a fresh voice and a knack for creating intriguing, likeable characters. Where Have All the Cowboys Gone? is guaranteed to quicken the pulse, charm the reader, and bring a smile to your face; it sure did for me. Shayna reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

The Cowboy and the City Girl

During a business trip to Las Vegas, Lauren Redstone hooks up with a handsome cowboy named Grayson Turner and, in a spur of the moment decision, marries him. But just as fast as she became Mrs. Turner and consummated the marriage, Lauren leaves her husband. Grayson isn't giving up hope for their marriage and barters a deal with Lauren: if she agrees to spend a weekend with him in Oregon at his ranch and then they share a weekend at her home in San Francisco, he'll agree to the divorce if they cannot make their marriage work. Lauren figures it will be an easy process, since she has no plans to stay tied to any man. But does it work out exactly the way Lauren thinks it will? First off, I have to say...wow! This is the first Virgin Cheek book I've ever read, and knowing it's an imprint of Black Lace, I expected raunchy sex and multiple partners. But WHERE HAVE ALL THE COWBOYS GONE? is not one iota like that. Oh, there's sex, and plenty of it, but if you're looking for a book that provides sensual scenes which show the romance blooming between a couple, then you'll love this fabulous tale. It's not often that one can say a sexy book is downright...sweet, but WHERE HAVE ALL THE COWBOYS GONE? may prove to be one for readers. Lauren and Grayson think they have nothing in common, but in reality, they each have a domineering father who has shaped their adult lives. The one time Lauren lets herself lose control, she does the last thing she expects to do: get married. It takes being around Grayson again to have her teetering on the edge once more. Will Lauren finally let the walls of control come tumbling down...and lose her heart....to Grayson? For his part, Grayson has tried to disassociate himself from his father and step back to a simpler life. All he wants is someone - like Lauren - to share it with. Will these two wounded souls finally find each other and live happily ever after? WHERE HAVE ALL THE COWBOYS GONE? takes us from the glitz of Vegas to the rural ranch life of Oregon, then to the bright lights of San Francisco. In between, we get to know and love Lauren and Grayson a little bit more. I highly recommend that you pick up this nifty tale today for a story that'll entertain you even as it arouses you. Ride 'em Cowboy!

This book is hot! However I think the strength of the book is Ms. Pearce's ability to write sexually explicit scenes yet she keeps the love and romance forefront. Her characters come off as real and dimensional, their conflict genuine and believeable. She evokes true emotion. If you like your romance with toe-tingling, page-turning sex I highly recommend this book. You won't be sorry. Oh, and I don't think I'll ever pass by a barn again and not have a couple of "hot" flashes. Thanks, Ms. Pearce.

Save a horse, ride a cowboy!

posted for Maria Geraci The book is awesome! Here's my review: While on a business trip to Vegas, Lauren Redstone falls into the lap of sexy cowboy Grayson Turner. When he offers to buy her a drink, Lauren ends up getting more than just her thirst quenched. After a wild night of passion, Lauren wakes up married to the hunky, mysterious cowboy from Oregon. Grayson might be Lauren's ideal roll in the hay, but she has no intention of permanently roping herself to a man who might turn out to be as domineering as her father. Determined to keep Lauren as his bride, Grayson convinces her to give him two weekends to prove to her they're compatible in every way possible. From the stables of an Oregon ranch to the streets of San Francisco, Ms. Pearce weaves an erotic tale of two soul mates who must overcome the machinations of their interfering families and the modern day conundrum of juggling two busy careers. There's never a second in the book that you don't root for exactly that to happen. Lots of steamy sex scenes and an absolutely to die-for-hero will have you whistling Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy long after you've finished reading this elegantly written, fast paced story. Don't miss it!
