When William Went Away

This is the story of Matthew, William's best friend, who isleft behind when William moves away. He suffers from lonliness inmany of the same ways that William does in WHY DID WE HAVE TO MOVE HERE?, the companion book. Matthew notices that a peculiar giant snowman has appeared on William's front lawn. After doing some snooping, Matthew makes an assumption that a new boy has moved into William's old house and that he will soon have a new friend. He gathers up the courage to knock on Williams's old front door, and finds one surprise after another. This book belongs with its companion book in every elementary classroom library.
