Steve Hester studied creative writing with William Blackburn at Duke, but then went to Harvard Law School, an experience which stunned him into silence for twenty years. A refugee from the law, Steve wrote seriously for six years before his death in 2005. He took workshops with Rod Jellema and Moshe Dor at the Writer's Center in Bethesda.
