There aren't many books that tell a good story and can teach science at the same time. This book has managed to do both. This is a story about a girl and her brother who move to an old farmhouse that have bats living in the attic. The parents teach them all about bats during this story but it doesn't come off like a science book. This would be an excellent book for children in 3rd grade. I'd even pick it for my daughter...
