I've read this book through twice already and every time have been amazed at the wise and discerning way the very difficult book of Job has been explained by its young author. The book has helped to strengthen and restore my faith in the Lord and made me look beyond my circumstances. This book will make your realize, as it did me, that the all important question when besieged with suffering on all sides is to ask Who and not Why. The author's style is also very riveting and humorous in many places. I loved the nick-names he gives to Job's "so called" friends - Eliphaz the Exterminator, Bildad the Brutal and Zophar the Zealot. You'll find yourself chuckling despite your grief or through your tears. From this book you will also learn what not to say to the suffering and how you can be a means of encouragement instead of a means of further despair. This is a book I would love to present to every suffering Christian of whatever age. And keep it handy at all times on your shelf for your own private profit. You will find yourself reaching out to it again and again.

I appreciated the insight that the author brought to Job's life. I am a seminary student and am preaching a Narrative sermon on Job 1 and 2. This book provided me with a wealth of insightful material, illustrations and wonderful exegetical points in clear, simple language. Thank you for your faithfulness to the text and leading by the Holy Spirit!
