What We Stand for: A Program for Progressive Patriotism

Seriously, it bothers me that a great book like this would get almost no mainstream recognition. Unlike almost every other political book that been written recently, this book does not waste time pointing fingers at the opposing political party. It simply provides ideas, outlooks and possible solutions for the major issues of the day. If the Democrats could embrace the messges in this book and articulate to the people, I think this country and certainly politics would be much better off. What We Stand For is not going to generate flashy headlines or tabloid news stories but if you're looking for 100% political substance from a liberal/progressive point of view, I would highly recommend this book.
