Must Read to Understand

If I had not read this book, as many others as I've read on the topic and studies referenced and read as well, I would not understand the current anger at Taylor Swift's new video and it's use of "fat." Thanks to this book, and the outright RECEIPTS the author brings... I cannot even explain, it's a special kind of happy for me when someone writes a book like this so perfectly! Not only being one of the social subgrouping to be able to share personal experience, but also ready with pop culture references of wrongs ways- and right ways- to interact, but also bring up study after study BY. NAME! I just... 👏👏👏 You need to read this book. I say that about a lot of books. I'm a bookworm, so I don't know why you would expect anything different 😂 But to be honest, no matter what your size and almost MORE if you have skinny privilege, then you need to read this book. If you struggle with your size, this is a good book. If you struggle with getting doctors to listen to you about your health because they only see your body, buy this book, have the index ready, and read them the studies out of it for them to educate themselves! I hate that it has come to this, but unfortunately it has. 10/10 recommend (As a huge fan of Taylor Swift, I think it's important we hold our celebrities accountable. We'll see if she'll be a Lizzo or a Rebel Wilson. If you read this book, you'd know what that means!)

One of the Most Important Books of Our Time

Everybody needs to read What We Don't Talk About When We Talk About Fat. Author Aubrey Gordon alternates seemlessly between facts/statistics and personal experiences to create a unique reading experience. You will cry, you will cringe, you will get angry, and you will be a better person for all of it. This book not only shows readers how vastly different a thin person's world is from a fat person's world, but it also offers ideas on how we can change our thought patterns, legislation, and more to create a safer, less fat-phobic world.
