This book is concise, quick moving, easy to read and humorous. Just right for parents to busy trying to keep up with their kid(s) already. It gives you tools to help connect better and deal with better right from the git go. It did me anyway. Good plain advice.

This book is a must have for every parent of a gifted child!!!! The author clearly provides an insightful guide that is laced with humor and packed full of information and ideas for parents challenged by the presence of a gifted child in their home. This book is packed full of practical advice, techniques and strategies for living with and surviving in the world of the gifted child. I only wish that this had been around when my daughter was a youngster but even at age 15 it provides very relevant information, strategies and advice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Submitted by Carolyn "Carrie" Matt-Shaheen

What To Do When Your Kid Is Smarter Than You

A hilarious survival guide for any parent of a terrifyingly gifted or "just plain terrific" kid. Ms. Levitt justly examines the issues surrounding how to raise a gifted child that not only succeeds, but flourishes. In a world where the pressure to conform threatens to extinguish creativity and enthusiasm, a parent's ability to nurture curiosity at home and fashion a positive school experience is key to helping them meet their potential. Laced with anecdotes of raising 4 gifted and terrific kids herself, and her 30 years experience in the field of education educating exceptional learners, Ms. Levitt writes with well founded expertise and great insight. This book has all the nuggets of knowledge needed to be an effective parent in the 21st century with a lot of laughs along the way.
