What to do

This book will save your child (grandchild) unnecessary trips to the doctor or ER and set your mind at ease about being a responsive care giver.

Great for every parent!

The hospital gave me this book when I had my second baby and it is great! It is written in the most basic form and very specifically and clearly describes symptoms, treatments, and, most importantly, when to call the doctor! For all of those new parents, it is a great resource to get you through all of those moments when common sense and good advice come in handy. I recently bought three of these books for my friends who felt embarrassed calling me for advice. The information is organized simply and concisely. It is the best quick reference book I have come across. Every parent could benefit from having one.

New Mom

I recieved this book from a co-workder when my baby was about 7 months. I would have loved to have received it earlier. Either way it's a great book. Being a new mom, I had so many questions, like how do I know if my baby has a fever, how to a take her temperature, what is considered a high temperature, etc. The book explains everything you could ever imagine from ear aches, teething, diarrhea etc. I find myself using it all the time. I like it so much that I'm giving it to a friend for her baby shower. Another great thing is that the book is in spanish. It's hard to find good spanish books out there. I highly recomenend it to those new moms.

What To Do When Your Child Gets Sick

This book is written at a readable level for any parent or caregiver of young children. Everything about this book drives readability. The illustrations are simple but explicit and add to the understanding of the text. The factual content minus any extraneous information facilitates the transfer of knowledge to the reader. The use of commonly understand terms, an A to Z format, helpful suggestions for managing the health problem, and useful indicators as to when to seek medical aid, will prove useful in managing the health of growing children. The common childhood illness and health problems covered in this book are extremely relevant. As an administrator of a health center for children I can validate that these are common problems that parents and caregivers of children seek knowledge and assistance on how to treat and manage. Only those who have cared for infants or young children can fully appreciate the need to know what to do about "an oozing belly button" or "cradle cap" or "nosebleed". It is a sure thing that readers of this book will experience fewer frustrations with child care and be able to manage the health needs of growing children.
