Genius insight into the life of a wedding. I read a bunch of 'how to' book and this one tops all. Anyone who has gone through the process can look at this book and find the humor. A very helpful guide to getting married.

I was given this book by my fiance and it gave me a lot to laugh about during a stressful time! I would highly recommend this book to any guy who wants a humourous perspective regarding your wedding day.

This book gave me some great advice. Being a guy who likes to know what is going on, I was driving my fiancee crazy and myself crazy. After reading this book, I decided to sit on the sidelines and step up only when called upon. The book compares the groom-to-be's job to a kicker on a football team. Oh, this is so true! I appreciate John Mitchell's sense of humor. I can relate to the scenarios that he amusingly describes relating to wedding planning and dealing with the "wonderful bride-to-be" (and future mother-in-law). I would recommend this to any guy brave enough to face the wedding planning insanity!
My fiance loved this one!

I purchased this book for my fiance, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Frankly, so did I; Jeff read a good deal of the book aloud to me. The book couched great insight and advice in fun terms (i.e., wedding planning as a game). Jeff and I both had simple, civil ceremonies for our first weddings; we are doing something much more formal this time, and Jeff got a great deal of useful information from this guide. We both recommend it highly to grooms (first-time or otherwise).
Funny and informative! Lots of good advice and laughs!

I got this book from my future in-laws, and they must have read my mind. If you just got engaged and you need advice on how to prepare for the "big day," check this book out. It's got tons of practical information, but it's fun to read. It's a how-to guide for guys, who everyone forgets has to also do things to get ready for the wedding day. The author has obviously been through the wedding thing at least once, and he definitely wants us to have fun and not take it all too seriously. I laughed out loud reading this book!
