What Happens to Your Food? is an ideal intro duction to food, eating and digestion, using interactive fol d-out flaps to help explain to young readers the whole fasci nating journey of a meal through the human body. '
This book covers digestion in short, interesting facts with clear illustrations. There is just enough "grossness" to delight an elementary-aged child. Probably too long to read the whole thing to a 5 or 6 year old, but you could read a few sections. An older-elementary aged kid who was interested in science or medicine would love this book.
