Love love!

One of our favorite books. I have a three year old

Was ripped off

Received the book quickly. It was marked all over on every page, no audio CD was included and one third of the pages were ripped out. Very disappointed and surprised.

Kids will love this one!!!

I was delighted to discover this book...my grandchildren have been singing the song and going through the motions for a long time but I didn't know about the book. This is an absolute gem!! The iillustrations are spot on as they follow two children tiptoeing on their exciting hunt for the elusive bear and how they overcome the many obstacles in their path. Your child will love the adventure and suspense, along with great anticipation and even a touch of fear. What a fun read this is!! I intend to keep this for the next generation of children in my family to enjoy...that is, if it doesn't get completely worn out by the loving overuse it is getting from this generation!!!

Good book in horrible condition.

Book was taped together and still falling apart. Very dissatisfied

No CD, book bent in shipping

Wonderful fun book that you can make hand motions to. Repetitive structure so kids can join in the "reading." It's a thing paperback, so it was folded some during shipping. Also, no CD included. We listen to it on Spotify or amazon.

Damaged

Cute book but I had to throw it out due to damage and mold. Very disappointed.

Small

Wasn’t expecting this book to be so small. Guess I should have looked at the dimensions firsts.

Love the book, very disappointed of the book I got!

Hoping for a birthday present, but the binding was broke.

No cd...

I recieved a great book but it was missing the CD

Bear Hunt CD is great!

My little girl LOVES this cd. We even took it to preschool and the teacher played it over and over!

Has something for all young children ages 2-5

I work with different age groups from 0-5years old. Kids as young as 1 year old enjoy the story telling portion of this cd. I do alot of handplays/body movements which the kids mimic as the story is playing. I use the cd alone and in conjunction with the book. Kids love it either way! The first track is the lively descriptive tale and subsequent tracks are different "lessons" you can do with your kids/students if you like. I would recommend that the adult listen to those parts and introduce the lessons over time, don't overload a younger child's imagination with it. It's a great cd with charismatic voices and appropriate music that really brings to life a terrific children's book.

gets played over and over and over and over!

We bought this on a driving trip in Maine this summer and our 4 year old just loved it. Still does now home in CA! He memorized the story and loves to repeat the story. Also they have various word and other games related to the story. You won't regret buying it!

One of the best choices out there

This is one of the first books my son responded to. I could read it to him and get him to say Uh Oh at the proper point. Months later he was able to add Oh No at the proper point. A book like this, with fun noises, great prepositional phrases, interesting drawings, a funny storyline, an exciting ending, and a repetitive reading sequence, really help children to remember what's going on. A kid who can remember a story can eventually learn to tell you that story, and sometimes even do so long before they're truly reading and decoding the words. The board book format will always be lauded in our household. We like the durability and compactness of the books. The babies can easily turn the pages, the books withstand being thrown (hey, it happens) and stepped on, and the pages can be gnawed on without too much harm. This is one of our favorites.

A great first book.

We've been reading this book to our 17 month old daughter since she was given it at 6 weeks and yet it's still a favourite! She now joins in on the Uh-Oh's, and lots of the sound pages too. She's been 'reading' the Hoo Woo snowstorm page by herself since about 6 months and loves bouncing along to the rhythm of the story and waving goodbye to the bear on the last page. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the first book she 'reads' independently in a few years time. Highly recommended as a present for new babies. It's never too early to start encouraging a love of books!
