My folks brought me this book from Wales. At first I found the phonetic spellings difficult, but once I'd heard the language spoken, I realized those spellings were very accurate. I especially liked the "Choose one from column A and one from column B" approach to sentence construction.By flipping around, finding the various tenses, and looking up words in the dictionary, I was able to write passable letters to my Welsh-speaking friends within a couple of months. I recommend it highly as a first book for new students of Welsh.
