Fascinating Book about Lacrosse Players

This book was interesting, insightful, and sometimes even funny when explaining the lives of 15 "ordinary" people who have jobs, wives, kids, and play professional lacrosse on the weekends. It makes you realize how different pro lacrosse is from other pro sports. (And I mean that in a good way.) The writing was clear and engaging, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Great NLL Book for Fans

It was great to finally read a good book on professional lacrosse. The writing was interesting and insightful, and provided a good mix of lacrosse history combined with people who play the game. I would definitely recommend this book for the lacrosse fanatic, or even the casual observer. I enjoyed it!

Well-Written Lacrosse Book

I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The book not only featured 15 interesting biographies of players in the NLL, but also explored why they play it, how they started with lacrosse, and what its like to balance a "real" job with a pro career. The players were interesting and likeable, and the book was well-written, and professional presented. I hope to see more books like this in the future.

Great Book about NLL Lacrosse

The book was well-written, featured interesting players, and offered interesting insights into why these guys with regular jobs make sacrifices to play professional lacrosse. The book was professionally written, edited, and even had good photographs of the players. This was a good book for adult fans, or especially for junior high or high school fans who dream of playing college and pro lacrosse.

Finally, Likeable Athletes

I really enjoyed this book as it finally featured likeable athletes. It seems like players in the other pro-leagues have feelings of self-entitlement (along with millions of dollars) that makes them seem like jerks. This book was refreshing as the 15 players in this book seemed to be interesting, passionate about their sport, and not playing for shoe contracts. It was very well written, and I would strongly recommend it.
