Weekend Afghans

This book is my favorite collection of afghan patterns. The patterns are all fast, although they take increasing time as you move through the book. Most of the patterns are for crocheted afghans, but there are a few knitted afghans. If you now only knit, don't despair; I taught myself to crochet using this book, and now like crochet better than knitting. Be aware that the book was poorly proofread, although the errors should not throw off your work. For example, a pattern tells you to cast on 16 stitches onto knitting needles, then recommends a circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches. I have made many of the afghans in this book for charity and gifts. The recipients neither know nor care that the projects took a minimum of time.
