This book was not worth the hype. It was such a slow burn only to be let down by the "plot twist".

I personally did not enjoy this book it felt slow pace and the whole book itself could have been better the plot twist was dumb in a way cause your reading and reading till the fire wondering what’s going on and when u find out it’s not as sad as everyone makes it to be

do not believe the hype. This book is so extremely boring and the ending twist is so stupid that it makes you upset that you wasted your time reading the book. It’s a really easy read and that’s the only upside the build up to the twist is so repetitive and so boring. I almost lost my mind, and when I finally got to the twist which is like six pages before the ending, I almost threw the book across the room because it was so stupid I won’t be reading from this author again

The big twist felt a little too predictable. Still worth the read, just not the hyped up jaw dropper for me!

Overall just an odd book. Didn't hate it, but wasn't really worth reading. I figured it out pretty quick and didn't really care either way.

The beginning was difficult to get through. Not to say it was bad, just that I didn’t see where the background would lead up to. The pieces arranged themselves so beautifully. The plot twist was like no other. Safe to say i will never hold any book to as high a regard as i hold this one.

This book had me hooked from the start. The perspective the book comes from made me bawl my eyes out. Amazing read.

I read this book in two days, I couldn't put it down! It's engaging and leaves you wanting more after every page. I highly recommend.

It was intense and very well written

When the twist happened my mouth dropped! I never expected anything like that! E. Lockhart is an amazing author and wrote this book with such grace in destruction. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a book that will make you want to finish the book, but not because you dont want it to end.

I loved it the ending was a surprise and the suspense leading to it was perfect.

I read this in one day and I cried so hard at the end. The plot twist really is shocking and so horribly sad. It takes a minute to get into it but then you won’t want to put it down. Highly recommend!

I had been told to read this book by countless people and it has gotten so hyped up on social media so I decided to finally buy it and read it, and we’ll… maybe I had to high expectations for this book but it just wasn’t as great as everyone said it out to be. I think the story was good but the characters were very bland and didn’t have much personality at all. Also the big plot twist that everyone had been freaking out over was so obvious that I figured it out in like 30 pages… Over all I give the book itself a 3/5 stars because it wasn’t terrible but also it could have been better…. ((((SPOILER WARNING)))) the only reason I even cried was because of the two dogs in the house, not the characters lmao

Honestly I went into this book not really knowing what it was about but it was awesome. It had a shocking twist that I did not expect in any capacity. Made me cry in the middle of class. I absolutely loved it and it is worth the read

Tik tok had gave it extreme hype for the plot twist, and they were 198% right for it. This book had me thinking for so long after I finished it, it really pieces together the entire thing. Although, it was kind of confusing on the order of some of the events, but it eventually makes sense in the long run. Highly recommend and a quick read!!

This book received so much hype and praise from readers. However, the story was slow and unengaging. The plot twist at the end creates a brilliant end, but the majority of the book is repetition and undescriptive or over-descriptive passages. I would not recommend if you really want an entertaining book.

This was not my favorite book, I think it was an interesting book and I would never try to discourage someone to read it. In my opinion however, it was predictable and not worth all the hype it has been given. This book takes a dive into the lives of the rich, and shows how controlling money can be, all while looking into the life of a girl through her summers. This book was decent but not a favorite of mine. But I would like to specify that this is an unpopular option and I did not think it was bad book, just trying to lower that standards that were raised too high for me.

I was in a reading rut and this got me out of it and into my normal reading habits. The speck of romance in here so endearing, the talk of privilege and class is also a great thing. But the end will leave u shocked! I cried for a while after finishing it and cant stop thinking of it.

The ending was shocking... but i will admit that this book wasn’t my favorite to read I just couldn’t get into it ( maybe it was just me) but I felt that I didn’t find how the author wrote the book was appealing to me. I felt like it was random and confusing.

I was very excited about this book and the way people described it made me purchase it. however, in my opinion, I know the plot of the book was the "secret", I now feel like I wish this book would've made me feel a stronger connection with the main character, but the writing style was good!

Best book I've read this year by far! The story is moving an interesting an the writing is so well done! 100% lives up to the hype. I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks after I finished it.

I really didn't enjoy this book. I thought it was slow & dull. The reviews had built it up to this grand thing, this on the edge of your seat, plot twist ending! And I just though ehh. I could've done without it. By the end it felt like homework to me.

I literally hit this book because some girl on TikTok was like get this books it’s sooo goood plot twist so thick! Let me tell you. Did not disappoint! I recommend doing even read what it’s about but wait YOULL BE SHOOK

Reminded me of my friendships when I was younger. Doing everything together spending our days with each other and knowing each other‘s lives inside and out. The ending is such a twist; I couldn’t believe it. As soon as I finished it I wanted to reread it because it is written in such a unique way.

Easy and enjoyeead

I loved this book so much, but I have to say you have to pay attention to the story to get the same reaction I did. In the end I was left wanting more and very connected to the characters in the story. Definitely one of my favorites!

I am a 20 year old girl who loves reading cheesy books and watching cheesy films. I expected so much from this book because of the amazing reviews I read prior to getting it. I didn't think it was that good to be honest. I read till the end because everyone kept talking about the massive twist that happens in the finale but I honestly didn't enjoy this book that much, sorry to all you die hard e. lockhart fans.
