I bought this for my grandson, age 11, as one of many attempts to keep him away from video games.
As soon as he saw the incredible paintings he was enthralled. He sat on the couch and read it straight for an hour before he had to go to school. His eyes were wide and concentration total.
I had hesitated to spend close to $25 for one book. But when I saw the amount of work that went into this adaptation of the novel I started to wonder how it could Only be $25!
Alex finished it in 3 days and said “ This is the best book I have ever read!” I highly recommend it!
