Ugh! Very Ugly!!!

This is very very sappy and tiresome.

Too cute

My son's grandma bought him this book and two other Elephant and Piggie books. I absolutly love these books they are just so cute and sweet. I like them so much I have just ordered all the other books in the series. I just love how the two totally opposite animals are such good friends. Their friendship is inspiring......Oh yeah my son loves them too!

Hilarious Good Fun! (and a nice primer to boot :)

These Elephant and Piggie books are so much fun. In "Watch Me Throw the Ball!" Piggie finds Gerald's ball and is really impressed by how far he can throw it. Gerald lets her join in the fun, but infers that there's a secret to throwing REALLY far. Piggie, of course, insists that the key is to have fun... and that is the message of this cute story. Piggie takes her shot and my kids -- who are 7 and 9 and who ought to be too old for these books -- thought the results were hysterical. (Okay, I thought it was amusing too. Says something about Mo Willems that he has fans of all ages.) This one has a message about the value of fun and just-trying, and like all of Mo's work, it's a great read-aloud and primer. Halarious book for the 4 - 6 year old set!

A simple story with simple drawings that not only got the attention of my nearly 6 year old but had him rolling in laughter! I read it to my son first, then he took a turn reading to me. A little on the long side for a new reader but a HUGE hit in our house. The others in the series are great too, but this is our personal favorite.

Watch Me Throw the Ball

The Elephant & Piggie books are *great* for beginning readers, and even the upper elementary kids at my library love them for the humor and funny facial expressions. Mo Willems is the favorite author at our library, where the kids love his Pigeon and other books as well.

Adorable!

What a cute little book this was! Elephant and Piggy star in another funny, fast paced adventure when Piggy stumbles on a stray ball and Elephant wants to teach him how to throw it. This is a simply illustrated, yet visually involving story with many cute pictures. It is easy to read with very simple wording and large speech bubbles. My four year old niece had quite a laugh over this one and I believe that any child aged three to five would find it equally delightful. A perfect little tool for children who are learning to read and would like something a little fun. Highly recommend to parents of young children.
