Warrior

This is the first novel I have ever read by Elizabeth Lowell, and I am eager to read more. WARRIOR is a steamy romance filled with three-dimensional characters that come to life and are easy to love. "As a biologist, Eden Summers had confronted all kinds of wild creatures, but never had she encountered any as gloriously untamed as Nevada Blackthorn. Life had taught this defiant warrior some painful lessons. Now he believed in survival-and nothing else. Yet Eden saw a gentleness behind the man's steely self-control, and she longed to tame his wild heart...and soothe his restless soul."I finished this book the same day I picked it up. The first page hooks you, and you're pulled into this hot romance that will not let you down. I highly recommend.

This book, like so many of Elizabeth Lowell's books is one you just can't put down. Nevada is mesmorizing! Even when he's being a ..., you can empathize with him. Eden, in most books would come across as a lovesick doormat, but in this book, she seems tremendously insightful and grounded instead. I credit Ms. Lowell's character development for this! I very seldom reread a book, but this one will be an exception.

I love the writing style of Ms Lowell. She introduces characters & gives them history in other books when she does her series... But, not to confuse you if you don't read them in order. MMMM like Enchanted Series... In all her series she does this. This gives you a chance to connect with the characters. I want Luke & Mariahs' cousins to be introduced. Also, if you read Reckless Love you will meet their ancestors. Like Case. I don't think anyone does a great job like Ms Lowell does in a series writing. She draws you in. I am waiting for Utahs' story as well as the elusive cousins(female).

Of the Mackensie/Blackthorn series, this is far and away the best one. Although I dearly loved Outlaw (Tennesse & Diana)-- I was captivated by Nevada, a burnt out CIA agent who saw more death than life while assigned to fight/train rebels in Afghanistan. He encounters Eden Summers, who is the embodiment of life, hope, and love. She teaches him how to love and feel emotions again. She brings him back from the brink of self destruction. Truly one of the best stories I have ever read. Nevada Blackthorn's character has remained in my top 10 list of favorite heroes. Buy the entire series but PLEASE buy this book regardless -- and keep it always.

"Warrior" by Elizabeth is the fourth installment in the "MacKenzie/Blackthorne" series. You have to read the stories, they are wonderful. The series starts with "Fire and Rain", then "Outlaw", then "Granite Man" and finally "Warrior". Sit back and enjoy!
